Two ways to work with the shop
Shop work: parts and assemblies are fabricated in Lafayette and picked up, delivered locally or loaded on your truck. Customers bring shop work in from across Acadiana and South Louisiana, because the press brake, the plasma table and the welding bays are all in one place.
Mobile work: the welding rig travels to your job site, facility, farm or home for repairs, installations and on-site fabrication. Travel is part of the quote, so the shop asks for the job address up front.
Where the mobile welder goes
The mobile unit covers Lafayette and the surrounding Acadiana region. The towns the shop has named for mobile welding are Lafayette, Crowley, Abbeville and New Iberia, with the parishes around them. If you are a little farther out, ask; the answer depends on the job.
What is a good mobile job
- Fence and gate repairs and installs, railings anchored to concrete or decks
- Trailer, hitch, rack and equipment repairs where the equipment sits
- Brackets, supports and modifications on structures that are already built
- Facility repairs on skids, stands, platforms and pipe supports
If the part can be moved, the shop is usually better: flat tables, fixtures and no wind. The shop vs mobile welding guide has examples. Read the guide.
Why there are no town pages yet
This site only describes work the shop has actually done. Pages for individual towns will be added as the shop documents real jobs in each one, with photos from those jobs, rather than publishing a page for every town on the map.
