Who we are
H&L Fabrication LLC is a custom metal fabrication and welding shop in Lafayette, Louisiana. The company was established in 2024, and the team behind it brings 15 years of experience in the fabrication business. That experience is why the shop takes on complete builds, from the first sketch to a finished part that is ready to install, rather than only the welding at the end.
The shop predominantly serves the oil and gas industry and commercial and residential construction, but it is not limited to them. It is a custom shop, so it will take on pretty much any project: a valve skid for a facility, a security gate for a building, an ornamental fence for a backyard, or a cracked trailer hitch that needs fixing today.
What is in the shop
- A 14 foot, 200 ton press brake for long bends and heavy plate
- A CNC plasma cutting table that cuts plate and sheet straight from a drawing file
- MIG, TIG and stick welding for carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel
- A mobile welding rig for repairs, installs and fabrication on site across Acadiana
Cutting, forming, welding and finishing happen under one roof, which keeps the quote simple and the responsibility in one place.
How we work
Every job starts with the questions that change the price: what the part is, what it is made of, how big, how many, what finish, and whether it is built in the shop or on your site. The shop asks them before it quotes, so the number you get is the number you pay unless the job changes.
Parts are checked against the drawing as they go: cut blanks for size, bends for angle, assemblies for square and flat before the final welds. Finished work is photographed before it leaves, which is where the portfolio comes from.
Where we work
The shop is in Lafayette, Louisiana. Shop fabrication comes in from across Acadiana and South Louisiana, and the mobile welding rig travels to Lafayette, Crowley, Abbeville, New Iberia and the surrounding region. The business works as a service-area business, so call ahead to arrange a drop-off, a pickup or a site visit.
